Without the Shedding of Blood there is No Forgiveness

God is a Holy and Righteous God....do not be fooled....only blood will cover sin. "In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness."

But under the first covenant...the blood of bulls and goats covered sin... but not forever. So Jesus came to save us by His death on the cross.  The blood of  Jesus....the sinless, blameless son of God...was given for our sins....and He satisfies sin forever. "But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself."

The last line of Hebrews 9 states the great hope we have in Jesus: "and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him."   Have you put your hope in Jesus?  He is more than a tool to clean us up from our sin.  He is God's son who loves us so much...He wants us to live with Him forever...and that is good news!!!!
