God is Love

I love the word John uses to describe how God loves us... "Lavished"  


 .....undue, exorbitant, extravagant,extreme, inordinate, intolerable,excessive are synonyms of the word....."Lavish"


"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!"  This is a statement...not a question.


Yes...God's love for us is incredible....He has included us as His children...His heirs....and what does He expect from us?  "This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another."


Finally...we should not just hear the words and speak them...we must put our love into action..."Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."
