“I Am Making Everything New!”

It's hard to beat something new.  We all want a new car...a new house...a new dress or tie.  Unused...a new life of it's own...no parts warn out. Well, in Revelation 21 we hear and see the promised...."New Jerusalem."  This city will provide a new start....void of sin.  No more imperfection.  A new glorious city to live in....a new dwelling place with God. 


So let's take a closer look...."Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband."


Wow, this city is beautiful like a bride..... the city is dressed in pure gold...with foundations adorn with jewels, gates of pearl....and perfectly designed. The New City is adorn like a new bride...ready for a new life together with Her bridegroom.


Even though a big deal is made of the city's looks and design....who lives there and life there...is far more important:  “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”


The city is new...but the life there is new, too. We will live as God intended for us to live....just as in the Garden....life there in the "New Jerusalem"  will be lived face to face with God.
