Congratulations

For the Word of God is living and active

You did it.  Congratulations. You have read through the New Testament during 2011.  I hope and pray that this was not just an exercise in reading.  I know that if you listened to "The Word"....you have been rewarded.  Jesus has met you in scripture.  His word is "living and active"....meaning that He speaks to us personally when we seek Him out in His scriptures.  I hope that you will not stop reading His Word, now.  In fact I hope you have created a life-long habit of meeting God in His word.  His word is perfect...He will meet you in it...He will guide you with it...and He will reward you for staying in it.


Isaiah 19 states it well:
"The law of the LORD is perfect, 
   reviving the soul. 
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, 
   making wise the simple. 
The precepts of the LORD are right, 
   giving joy to the heart. 
The commands of the LORD are radiant, 
   giving light to the eyes. 
The fear of the LORD is pure, 
   enduring forever. 
The ordinances of the LORD are sure 
   and altogether righteous. 
They are more precious than gold, 
   than much pure gold; 
they are sweeter than honey, 
   than honey from the comb. 
By them is your servant warned; 
   in keeping them there is great reward."
