“He is the Messiah.”

It is interesting what John chapter 7 tells us about "what people were saying about Jesus". Let's review a few of these:

John 7:7   For even his own brothers did not believe in him.

John7:12  Among the crowds ... Some said, “He is a good man.”
                Others replied, “No, he deceives the people.”

John7:14    The Jews there(in the temple courts) were amazed and asked, “How did this man get such learning without having been taught?"

John7:25  ...some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill?

John 7:30   Still, many in the crowd believed in him. They said, “When the Messiah comes, will he perform more signs than this man?”

John 7:32  ...the chief priests and the Pharisees sent temple guards to arrest him.

John 7:40   ...some of the people said, “Surely this man is the Prophet

John7:41   Others said, “He is the Messiah.”
                Still others asked, “How can the Messiah come from Galilee?

John 7:46  “No one ever spoke the way this man does,” the guards replied

So things have not changed all that much...people are still divided in what they believe about Jesus.
How about you?  What do you believe about Jesus?  In John 7:38 Jesus states, "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”  If you believe in Jesus and follow Him...He promises the Holy Spirit will live in you and that your testimony will influence others to know Jesus, personally.
