First 26 Weeks

First 26 Weeks
Week 1- Week 26

Nor did They Repent

"During those days men will seek
death, but will not find it"
If you thought Chapter 8 was disturbing...chapter nine gets worse.  Chapter 8 ends with John, " As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”

These next three angels bring the big time "Woes" onto the earth.
1. The first Woe is the swarm of locust straight from Hell. They will torture those not belonging to God for 5 months.
2. The second Woe is when 1/3 of mankind are killed by 2 million horseman carrying plagues of fire, smoke and sulphur. This Woe continues over the next few chapters.
3. The third Woe won't come until chapter 12.

With these crazy disturbing events going on...people still fail to acknowledge Jesus as Lord and do not repent: "The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts."

You would think when some one's world is turned upside down...they would turn to God for salvation...for rescue... But No...people are stubborn, knuckled headed, self-centered,and will not surrender to the Lord.  Now..or later....

We must not be caught by surprise....many will perish because they refuse to turn to God. That is true now...it will be true in the future, too.
